SAN DIEGO COUNTY & SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Non-destructive laboratory notebook scanning and document scanning for biotech and pharmaceutical teams in San Diego County and Southern California. We digitize research, quality, and manufacturing records into organized files with printed-text OCR, quality review, and secure delivery.
YOUR RECORDS. YOUR PROJECT REQUIREMENTS.
We scan laboratory notebooks, master batch records, and supporting research and quality documentation for biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations. The scanning method, file organization, and output follow your project requirements.
Resolution, color, page order, blank-page handling, file formats, indexing, and the handling of originals are agreed before production.
A SPECIALTY FOR RESEARCH TEAMS
Bound notebooks are captured using overhead scanning, with support for the original binding and attention to gutters, page edges, and attached materials. We review a representative sample to confirm the handling and digital output.
Explore Lab Notebook ScanningAvailable resolution and capture area depend on the equipment, original dimensions, binding, and condition. Confirm requirements against the sample output.
Overhead capture keeps bound notebook pages together while producing digital images of the record.
Handwriting, diagrams, color markings, and approved inserts are captured as part of the page content.
Discuss color mode and 300 DPI or up to 600 DPI output where supported for the original size.
Quality review checks page coverage, orientation, sequence, and readable detail before delivery.
ORGANIZATION THAT MATCHES YOUR WORK
Agree on a naming and folder structure before scanning, so the final files fit the way your team locates and manages records.
Our biotech record-scanning work includes master batch records with filenames organized by box, part number, and lot number. We can apply that attention to record identifiers when planning your agreed file structure.

A CLEAR PROCESS FROM START TO FINISH
We agree on materials, handling, output, and delivery before work begins, then carry those instructions through the scanning process.
Arrange local pickup or receipt and identify the materials and project instructions.
Review condition, bindings, inserts, and the preparation needed for the selected scanning method.
Capture bound and loose records using equipment and settings appropriate to the materials.
Check completeness, page sequence, orientation, cropping, and image readability.
Process suitable printed text and apply the agreed filenames, indexing, and digital folders.
Provide the final digital files through the approved download or USB arrangement.
Return or retain originals as agreed. Any shredding requires the approved project authorization.
Document tracking, controlled handling, quality checks, and authorized digital access are part of the project discussion. Confirm any special confidentiality, retention, or delivery requirements before scanning.
Keep the original record available while making the digital collection easier to work with.
Use consistent identifiers and searchable printed text to locate the information your team needs.
Provide authorized colleagues with digital files without circulating original notebooks.
Review digital pages while preserving the original notebooks and their physical record.

Illustrative original-to-digital demonstration. Your actual sample confirms handling, readability, and output.
BEFORE YOUR PROJECT BEGINS
Share the condition, quantity, and format of your materials so we can recommend a practical scanning approach.
Yes. Bound notebooks are captured with overhead scanning. We assess the binding, page condition, opening angle, and any inserts before agreeing on the handling plan.
Handwriting, diagrams, and signatures remain visible in the scanned images. OCR can make suitable printed text searchable; reliable handwriting recognition is not assumed.
Discuss the original page size and required detail with us. Available resolution depends on equipment and original dimensions. A representative sample helps confirm the requested output before production.
We agree on loose inserts, attached materials, foldouts, and blank-page treatment before scanning. Page sequence and record completeness follow the approved project instructions.
Yes. Filenames, folder structures, and indexing can use notebook IDs, projects, part numbers, lot numbers, batches, or other agreed fields. We confirm the included identifiers and review a naming example before production.
Digital delivery is arranged through a secure download or USB. Return, retention, and any authorized shredding of originals are confirmed in the project instructions.
