Direct chain-of-custody transfer throughout San Diego County
Scheduled pickup or client drop-off, secure transportation when applicable, document inventory, and organized intake procedures to maintain accountability throughout your project.
We assess document condition, format, and organization before scanning. Loose records are prepared by removing staples, clips, and folds, while bound books, lab notebooks, and fragile materials are handled using non-destructive methods that preserve their original condition.
We use production scanners, large-format equipment, and specialized overhead scanning technology according to the material being digitized. Documents are captured in black and white, grayscale, or full color at resolutions appropriate to project requirements, including up to 600 DPI where supported.
Scanned images are reviewed for clarity, orientation, cropping, and completeness. Corrections or rescanning are performed when necessary.
OCR creates searchable PDF files from printed text where applicable. Documents are organized using the agreed file naming and folder structure, with customized indexing available according to project requirements.
Receive quality-reviewed digital documents in the agreed format, including searchable PDFs where applicable, organized according to your naming and folder structure. Completed files are delivered through a secure download repository or USB storage device.
Following project completion, original materials are returned to the client or, where appropriate, securely shredded through our shredding partner with written authorization. Bound books, lab notebooks, and other materials designated for preservation are returned intact. Temporary storage may also be arranged.
Legal records require careful handling to protect privileged communications, confidential client information, and sensitive case materials. USA IMAGING maintains controlled access, secure document handling, and established procedures throughout preparation, scanning, quality control, and digital delivery.
