In 2021, we had the opportunity to assist The Crosby Estate at Rancho Santa Fe, a prestigious gated community featuring 70 villas, 281 semi-custom homes, and 70 custom homesites, with a critical document digitization project. The community had accumulated a vast collection of large-format building plans, which were stored as rolled paper documents. These plans were at risk of deterioration and took up significant storage space, making retrieval and management increasingly difficult.

To modernize their records, The Crosby Estate reached out to us to digitize all their building plans into multi-page, searchable PDF files, ensuring preservation, better accessibility, and improved space utilization.

The Challenge

✅ Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for Searchability – The PDF files were converted into searchable documents, enabling quick lookups by street name, project number, or property details.

✅ Secure Digital Repository Setup – After scanning, we uploaded all files to a secure digital repository, allowing The Crosby Estate’s management team to access, retrieve, and share documents instantly from any location.
